As a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), Louise practises professional acupuncture based on Chinese medicine principles that have been researched and refined for over 2,000 years.
Illness is the result of an imbalance in the body’s vital energy known as Qi (pronounced Chee). It is this vital energy which drives all bodily systems, and is responsible for your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Acupuncture treats you as a whole, by focusing on the root cause of your symptom or condition; to ensure that you achieve long lasting health improvements.
Acupuncture works – it is one of the safest and longest established forms of healthcare. It is suitable for people of all ages, including pregnant women, and children, and can be used effectively alongside western medicine.
It is recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) for its clinical benefits, with more and more people turning to acupuncture as a solution to their health concerns. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommends acupuncture for chronic pain, neck pain, knee pain, migraine and headaches. However, people turn to acupuncture for a number of reasons, ranging from physical aches and pains, to more emotional concerns such as anxiety and depression. Even when there is nothing medically wrong with a person, they will often come for preventative treatments because they just want to feel better in themselves.
