Illness is the result of an imbalance in your body’s energy. Louise will concentrate on finding out where and how that imbalance occurred, and then design a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs in order to correct this imbalance. This may include the use of electro acupuncture, cupping, moxa , tuina, and guasha, as well as diet and exercise advice.
Treatment involves the insertion of very fine needles, into specific points on the body. These points effect the flow of Qi – your vital energy – to regulate and create balance to bring back health.
Needles are so fine that people don’t feel them being inserted, however, people commonly report feeling a mild tingle or a dull ache as the needle connects with your energy. Many people feel deeply relaxed during the treatment.
The effects are cumulative – each visit builds on the ones before. Weekly treatments are normal to begin with, reducing in frequency as your body responds. The effect is usually felt within five or six treatments.
